If you are a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) student at the University of Washington School of Nursing, fill out our LTC Externship Interest Form to be a part of the 3rd Excellence in Long Term Care Externship in Fall 2023/Winter 2024.

Description and Requirements

  • 2 quarters (Fall/Winter 2023-24) and a 6-month commitment
  • One 6-hour shift per week, with more hours optional
  • Weekly 60-90 minute seminar on core nursing skills (e.g., wound care, medication administration routes)
  • Capstone project
  • Ability to travel to LTC facility in King or Snohomish County
